Joey Gurango started his IT career back in 1982, when he got a job with Apple Computer as a product support engineer for the Lisa computer, the predecessor to the Macintosh. In 1986, he worked as a programmer at Microsoft on Version 1.0 of Excel for Windows. He moved back to the Philippines in 1991 to start his own software company called Match Data Systems, which he sold to Great Plains Software in 1999 and 2003, first as the Managing Director for the business solutions software development team, then as the Asia-Pacific Regional Director for Products and Services.
He is currently the chairman and CTO of Gurango Software, an award-winning global provider of Human Capital Management solutions, serving over 600 customers in 15 different countries. In addition to leading Gurango Software, Joey has co-founded or mentored several start-ups, co-founded the SPRING.ph LaunchPad program, and has been President of the Philippine Software Industry Association (2013-2014). He is currently an Independent Director at Xurpas Inc. and Kation Technologies.
Joey's advocacy is to grow the Philippine software industry to become a major contributor to nation-building.
Arup Maity is the founding President and CEO of BlastAsia, Inc. Under his leadership, the company has grown from a modest four-member organization to one of the largest . Net providers in its segment in the Philippines. He started his career by managing projects in civil constructions then took up his MBA at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in 1997. After his MBA, he did a short stint in Landco Pacific Corporation, as a Director for Business Development and then moved on to start Land Excel Consulting Inc., a business consulting company focused on real estate and retail. As Senior Partner, he concentrated on market research, feasibility planning, pricing, and business strategy.
Arup developed an interest in IT while at taking his MBA. He formed BlastAsia, Inc. in 2000 along some of his colleagues from AIM.
Arup is a member of the Project management Institure and a Certified Project Management Professional. He also recently garnered certification from the Scrum Alliance, as a Certified Scrum Master. He is also a Director in the Philippine Software Industry Association (PSIA), spearheaded the development of the Special Interest Group in Product Development. He is also an active member of the AIM faculty as an adjunct Professor for Group in Product Development. He is also an active member of the AIM faculty as an adjunct Professor for Project Management and IT Strategy. His passion lies in helping build a strong local startup ecosystem.

For the last 15 years, Arnab has worked with global Agile teams, mainly in business development, service design, product management, and engineering. As a digital nomad, he is a keen observer of emerging IT products and services, and the way they change markets and social norms.
Prior to his current position, he helped launch a Singaporean adtech startup targeting the growing mobile markets of Asia. He also consulted for Japan's national initiatives on preventiv medicine using mobile technology. As an entrepreneur, he launched a healthcare and social IT consulting practice. That eventually allowed him to help with the healthcare IT recovery efforts following the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami.
He started his career as an engineer at HP/Agilent, but caught the "commercial bug" upon transferring to a Business Development role at GE. He graduated from John Hopkins University (BS) and University of Washington (MS), where he researched Augmented Reality. Arnab is fluent in both English and Japanese.
Since 2013, he has enjoyed being part of the vibrant startup community in the Philippines.
